"The founder of Burton Snowboards, Jake Burton, has announced that he has been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Jake released the news through a company memo that said: "The bad news is that I have cancer.
The good news is that it is as curable as it gets. What I have is called Seminoma, also known as Testicular Cancer (think Lance Armstrong). I have three months of chemo ahead with the possibility of surgery along the way."
Jake is one of the most influential figures in world snowboarding as his company Burton has become one of the largest snowboard manufacturers in the world.
There has been a global outpour of support for Burton who replied via twitter saying: "Thanks everyone for the good wishes and support"." |

I do hope the 2012/13 range doesnt feature a model with some quite graphic, err, graphics with the caption 'check your balls'
Cant see them being as successful as the Love range from the other year 
On a more serious note, i personally wish him all the best in a speedy recovery  |

i know not to buy a board for the graphics but this is a good board and i like that graphics my have a see and try to get hold of one! |
