| I think the point was that people were told it would help them when either it wouldn't, or simply wasn't applicable to their situation, ie if they were self-employed. If someone chooses to buy something based on the wrong, or just plain inaccurate, information then they should be able to get their money back. |

I dont ever take these things out as I dont need them so until the other week I saw in on a statement I didn't know I was paying for it. As I would have never have asked for it I want my money back.
The reason I didn't know is that I dont get paper statement (save the trees) and go on line and straight to the payment part on Nat West site and select the credit card and it says the min payment, all or an amount I want to pay and you dont view the statement on that screen. |

Most of the ppl agreed over phone , and when paperwork comes through its all small print etc , hence why alot got caught out or were just dumb , or just waniting to get other person off the phone |

| And even applying for the loan in branch, sometimes the person selling/advising you on the policy can make it seem that if you don't accept the ppi then there's a good chance your loan application will be turned down. They get paid more commission for selling it after all.... |

PPI isn't offered anymore thankfully. |
