anybody any idea on the Lufthansa's policy on board bags is ? I think i read somewhere that if it total luggage was under 23kg then no charge, other than that you had to contact the airline, which from what I can see is British Midland.

I remember looking into this with Lufthansa a few months ago and I'm pretty sure you got your bag and board bag carried for free within the weight limits.

Yeah, this was my understanding too. 12Kg's boardbag, 10 Kgs rucksack to check in and hand luggage for whatevers left.

It will be fine John. My boardbag always comes in around 12Kilos (Having travelled quite a bit with Easyjet and their 12k limit, i have got used to it) weigh your other bag as you fill it and as i said, throw the rest in your hand luggage.

PS - Just been reading up on Mayrhofen. It sounds soooooo good. I cant wait to get out there Cool

I'm getting the coach and might bring two snowboards (Vapor and Riot) and my interesting collection of paper weights... just because I can.

Really can't wait to get back out there. Yea cheers for that Dunx I will enjoy a nice stroll round duty free and maybe have a few beers whilst your crammed in that bus overnight !

Having decidied that I'm not lining the airlines pockets with 60 of my hard earned pounds for excess board carriage, I now need to find a decent bag that will conform for carry on luggage, but that will fit my Boots, and Bindings so that the bulk of weight is in my hand luggage.

The Northface Thunder Small roller is ideal, but about £100, though I guess would be a good investment for future trips.

Anyone an other suggestions that fit the bill ??
