Evening all,

Advice is needed on having lessons or just doing recreational time, and if lessons are needed, where to have them?

Key points: never had lessons, Was guided by a friend on dryslope, (garlands, Falling leaf, basic turns)

Went to Alpe D'Huez for 3 days and l was able to do linked turns but didnt progress onto carving, Didnt try if im honest)

Therefore i would assume i am upto "recreation standards"as stated by both MK and HH but wondered what would be the best plan of action, and if lessons, what lessons/level would people suggest.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Terry

hi terry, a lesson would probably help. You can ride now and are enjoying it but if your self or mate taught you will maybe have a few habits that wont be helping you get the best out of the board.
Just having a lesson and learning about stance/posture/weight distribution etc would improve your riding no end.

Is it value for money in having an hour private lesson? at or would i get more out of doing a group lesson over 3 hours?

If i were to go for the level group lesson its hard to judge what level i should go in at? Eg MK do a Intermediate level 3 - 4 session over 3 hours which includes "increased development of controlled linked turns"

Apologies for the possibly annoying questions

Some times you can learn more from a group lessons , as you can learn from and see others faults etc , some people benifit from 1 2 1 , every person absorbs and takes on info at a differnet rate , so its purely a personal thing ..... go for group , may meet some new people who arte like minded and like snow too Wink
