I am bored waiting for a long document to print and I wondered what my first post on SCUK was. So I searched for all my posts and on October the 11th 2004 at 11:34am I posted the following:

Any chance of a student discount on membership? Sorry for being cheap!
Btw, the website is looking great.
How unexciting. Anyone got anything better? |

I would totally recommend the bataleon boards. I tried a Goliath 161 at Milton Keynes the other day and I loved it. I've tried quite a few boards that said they had something new and exciting about them, but this was the first time I really noticed.
It was really smooth to ride around, dead poppy, held the edge well and was so easy to butter around.
I'm saving up for one now!
I never did get a Bataleon...
And that post was 11:32pm, Feb 20th 2007 (Showing myself up as a bit of a newbie!) |

Mine was less exciting. In fact, I sound like a cock. If I was to meet past Adam, I'd want to punch him in the face |

I'm just curious to know if you are covered to go offpiste with the SCUK insurance? It mentions it is covered if you go offpiste where the resort classes it as "safe". So does that mean if you go down a slope which has avalanche warning then you're not covered?
Do this offpiste route have to been marked on the mountain ski map?
Also do you have to go with "guides" as most of the insurance companies stated.
Any help would be great thanks.

this seems a relevant thread ish without making a new one. Which camera is best for using on the slopes? ive been looking at DSLR etc but want to know if anyone has experience using them in the snow etc. Ive looked at a few reviews but none say if they are any good witht he high light levels that are in the snow, most go on about low light levels which really dont concern me as i will mainly be using it for sports shots. So basically, im looking for a camera that has a high fps rate, good pic quality and good in the high light conditions of snow anysuggestions? oh and as cheap as possible, i found one that seemed perfect but for nearly £3K is waaaaayy out of my price range lol
on 9th Dec 2009. I totally forgot that i found SCUK because was looking for a camera to use in the snow and must have found that thread in the Google page. im guessing vicky you where looking for insurance and found it in a similar way? |

You basically search for posts by yourself. Then go to the last page. Yours was on 11th July 2005 and was:

i think it also depends on what time of year you are going and what's on offer. I've been Banff a few times, great place, especially the hot springs. If you go canada you have to go the pool. It's gorgeous, escpecially winter time!!

it was back in 2008/9, over new year. I was just annoyed with the place as it had a kicker park one side in vars, and a rail park in risoul, pain the arse really!
Apparently they now have a wicked set up though |

Here's mine... not that long ago and I've only posted like 600 and odd posts - doesn't really compare to some of you chain posters in the thousands!

I agree with Mini (for a change!)
There's a good bunch of people that ride on a Tuesday night and they all hang out for chats afterwards which is always good for a laugh. Mixed skill too so people there to help out if you want advice etc etc. Good at the mo as there's a few bits of freestyle out all the time.
Failing that, Thursday night is freestyle night! Freestyle fun!
