Well done Cameron! It's not societies job to house these pieces of sh1t, if they get evicted then that's their fault and they're on their own.

Well done indeed, now we can expect them to look for accomodation in the private market with rental prices considerably higher than they can afford. Expect an influx of subsequent housing benefit claims to bail them out as said councils are obligated to help them in other ways. How shortsighted.

Tell me I'm wrong.
Of course, those lucky enough to be able to afford private housing won't need to worry about getting such punishment, let's just kick the poor while they are down.
I know it's not as satisfying in the short term, but I really do advocate analysing the consequences of your brand of pitchfork mob mentality, just to check that you aren't, you know, suggesting something really dumb.
Not that I am saying you are dumb. Might think it, but I'm not saying it.

Ok.....
If you're living in subsidised accommodation, which council housing is, then you ( and people you've signed on the dotted line to vouch for who live with you ) have a duty and responsibility to act as good citizens, this is part of the agreement you enter in to when you take possession of a council house
If you then break your side of that agreement, then it's totally fair to tax payers who are ultimately funding your subsidised accommodation, that this funding is terminated and you leave that accommodation.
You then have to stand on your own two feet, you have no rights to do anything illegal to get accommodation, if you can't afford accommodation legally, that's nobodies business but your own... You're on the streets with no roof over your head. Society does not have a responsibility to house you once you've cocked up the chance they gave you.
The only question that needs to be asked is "why did I let myself down"
If any if these homeless break the law trying to put a roof over their head, they get prosecuted HARD

The top half read OK, but only on the basis that the bottom half is accurate. It's not. Society might not have a responsibility to house you, but our laws and government do. They are 2 seperate bodies. Society doesn't pay welfare, the government do. Kick them out and you might seem to be doing the right thing, until you follow it to it's conclusion. One way or another we all chip in and pay taxes to help home people who cannot do it themself, and social housing is the cheaper option. Just be pragmatic and practical about it, kicking them out will cost you and I more.
If you want to add extra punishment on top of the (pretty tough) court sentencing, then how about doing it in a way that includes everyone, not just the poor, and (for example) add in hours of community service that will a) be applicable to everyone, not just the poor, and b) be of some benefit to us, rather than just a cost.
