I'm starting to 180 off rails now, but at the moment the landings a bit sketchy.
I'm turning my shoulder/chest into it, and then moving my board round with it. (Regular/Frontside 180)
Any tips for doing it? |

The easiest was i find it is to start getting the rotation before leaving the rail, the complete the rotation with your shoulders like you are.
Think of it like when you take off a kicker and spin you never hit the kicker straight you approach it with a slight turn. |

Practice using counter-rotation to do 180s on the flat. Start with an open position, i.e. with your upper body already turned to face where you’re going, rear hand reaching forward slightly. Then once you’ve popped, twist your body the other way, bringing the board round underneath you and throwing your arms back.
Using this technique to 180 off a rail will mean you need much less pre-rotation whilst on it. It’ll look neater and you’ll be more stable.
Also, remember to make sure you do a little pop to get off the rail as it makes it much easier to execute the manoeuvre smoothly and land solidly |

| You gotta keep that back arm coming round, the way J at maverix explained it to me was to 'punch' it through. I was getting round but it was untidy until I saw on the video that my arm was hanging out like a big sail at 90 degrees |

| Agree with Dashie, thats how J taught me for 180 off features, basically punch round with your trailing arm and board should follow! |
