I think it may have been asked before, but its the one thing that really annoys me about this website - every time i refresh a page or even choose a different forum page it signs me out
I have accounts on other sites and i always stay logged in so its nothing to do with browser settings
Is there anyway to resolve it? |

As with the other thread... it works okay for the vast majority, so must be something your end. Cookie based, so early time outs are normally either cookies not being maintained from our domain on your PC or because the time on your PC is wrong so the cookies expire too early.
Have just cleared all your sessions from our database as there was one duplicate, so if that fixes it, let me know! |

Sorry Dunx it's definitely something to do with this site. I get this issue regularly and it's only this site. I use/have used numerous other forums and this is the only one I've ever had this issue with. |

I also keep getting logged out. Very irritating.
If only I could change the password to something memorable. |

| Let's see what J comes back with. Can't just be this site as very few have an issue and we have thousands and thousands of users. Possibly some sort of combo though. |

| I can't see how its this site - I get logged out of SCUK only roundabouts the same number of times that yahoo mail or facebook logs me out as well, so I'm guessing its something with the settings at my end that do that every so often. |

I never get logged out of Facebook or any other forum that I use unless I choose to.
And I'm sure it's not my computer settings as I access the site from at least 3 different computers and it happens on all of them, but only for this site. |

| Yeh this happens to me too sometimes on here, but I don't find it to be a major issue. |

Yeah have to agree - SCUK forum does log me out on a regular basis.
For example, I had to log back in to post this reply.
I haven't complained because it doesn't cause much inconvenience as browser saves username and password.
Suspect there are more people like me suffering in silence! But let me say again I don't really see it as that big a deal! |

| The only time it's an issue is when you click on an email link to read a reply to a thread you are watching, but because you've been signed out, the site doesn't know you've read the post and won't send you any more 'new post' notifications as a result. |
