That was fun people, only thing i feel upset about is why did the park crew waited untill 5pm to put the rest of the features out? Would have been nice to be able to play on a few more things considering the coaching had 1/2 the slope.
Anyway, lots of fun, may have said hello to lots of people on the day session (wish i could have done all day and evening session). I was wearing white helmet, brown camo hoodie, black pants and trying anything that looked fun.
Also the guys/1 girl that joined in the fun on the day to make a riding crew. lol good times.
When can we do it again? |

The day was effectively two sessions, I'd guess that's why.
Next event is Summer Bash |

THe slope was still open to the public to they had to leave plenty of space for them,
you still had the kicker/rocket rail, Flat down, Scuk box and the spine to play on!
It was a great day and i think everyone had a good time....me and pocket got loads of footage and i'll get on with editing it shortly!! |

^^^ that.
Plus from a freestlye noob's point of view there seemed limited enough space as it was during the day for people who didn't know what they were doing to practice flatland stuff.
Everything seemed to funnel people into a bit of a bottleneck half way down. If those other features had been out all day it would have ended up with a number of collisions I think. |

Personally as a relative noob to freestyling, I thought it was excellent, did few of sessions and got something solid out of each one..
Got to give a special special thanks to David from Definition, after only 10 mins into the start of my first session at 9.00am, snapped the buckle on by bindings clean, thought my day was ruined before it barely started but David came to the rescue and borrowed me some bindings for the whole day having never meant him before...top bloke...I salute you sir..
Jubay....we spoke at the lockers at the end? I'll PM you dude.. |

yer i saw quite a few collisions anyway. i was involved in a couple but luckily for the people hitting into me they didnt hurt at all so any awkwardness was laughed off.
you may have seen me fall off the poma like 3 times, i was in an scuk hoody with blue trousers and a black helmet. the day did not start well for me as i was hungover like a mother beast and was drinking serious amount of tropicana to nurse my head. I think i was still drunk when i showed up which was bad as i flew up the m1. i had already fallen before making it to the slope when in the changing area slipped on a puddle making a right tit outa myself. i spose thats wot its all about tho! haha
overall a wicked day, tried a lot of freestyle sh1t i had not before like the rocket rails, stalls etc with sucess and also training sessions helped me a lot and i will definitely be doing some more with definition as i felt their technique instruction and methods were beyond useful.
i really dialled bs boardslides by the end of the day and applied them to other features in the park other than the wide press boxes which were used for most of the training. but i was still happy with my 50-50's and straight airs over the kickers which now i think about em make me wanna do it again today, if it wernt foir the fact that all that riding has taken away my ability to walk properly haha.
cant wait to carry on freestyling again soon. also where can we get the pics that the guy was taking at the scuk box? sooooooo fun x |
