"minor chuffin injury" it was near fatal, but being a Geordie I survived. And for the description "fell and hurt his arm" it was more like dropped out of a rad 1080 coz I was smiling at the babes and did not notice the chair lift (over 20ft up) but still landed in a sick way but I could not jump the Snowbully fully and after grinding the roof of the cab I caught a massive sticky out thing and crashed out at about 30-40 mph into a well hard waffle stall smashing it to bits and planting my face into the chocolate sauce pot only to climb out, stand up and say "SWEET"
Or the other suggestion was that I fell on some hard snow at a low speed and hurt my arm., |

Well actually it was lucky you had your purse with you otherwise you wouldn't of been able to get the drinks in.
Unlucky mate. That wasn't good.
If it's war wound stories .... I spend the last couple of months boarding with suspected cracked ribs. Got to the stage where I couldn't tie my shoe laces because of the pain... didn't stop me falling off GlenCoe though. |

to be honest i didnt use the secret chair much this year as the run down to it (red12 i think) was a mess, so you had to drop down to shilly and scoot down that little steep hill (which was great fun straight lining when no one was on it)
i liked the new lift at the top up to the peak and the chairs from shilly were always quiet.
i recon it might be a few years before i head back to bansko, sad, but there just seemed to be so many out of control older skiiers, so many accidents that shouldnt be happening.
one of our group wittnessed a full family taken out on their first day, broken arm, fingers and collar bone. they were on our flight home and they told us the person who hit them never even stopped.
my bro in law got hit by a skiier coming down were the park is, skiier going straight and hit him from behind, unfortunatly for the skiier, he is 16st and things normally bounce off him!
as for ribs......... took my mate away about 5 years ago for his first trip and he fell onto his clenched fist with his ribs, it was so hard he let out a little brown stuff and had to walk like john wayne to the toilets to get cleaned up. had a xray when he got home and he had fractured a couple. might still have the photo of his white and brown long johns!
