I've always felt more confident on my heel edge, but when I was in La Plagne last week I discovered that high speed + boulder + toe edge = emergency stop...and a broken nose and bust knee.

I'll live, but cheers though. Currently rocking two black eyes and a gangsta limp, nose will take at least a month to begin to heal and the knee...well I've no idea. Docs say I've done no permanent ligament or tendon damage and that it should clear up on it's own, major pisser is that I've got a sponsored run to do round Silverstone on the 4th May so I need to be able to at least walk properly by then!

Here you go, have a laugh I took this the day after I faceplanted.

Sexy, huh? Cool

I'm better at stopping on steeps/at speed quickly on my toe edge, though there's not a lot in it. Mainly notice it on steeps, where I'm far more confident on toe edge in general.
