I hate how people say J.K. Rowling has turned an entire generation of children into avid readers. The reality is that only a small proportion of the readers are like this. I've seen too many kids at school wait a year for each book to be released so they can find out what happens and not read anything else until the next book.
My brother is one of the avid readers. He finished the new book a few hours ago. |

| The movies are a better account of the stories anyway. |

THe movies are better!! Give over, they don even come close to the books...that is assuming you have actually read them..
Any reading is better than none, so it is a good thing that Kids are reading Harry potter even if they read nothing else.. Someone who has only boarded on dryslope/indoor is better than a skier..ya get me!! |

its a good read anyway - i think it was gordon brown who was comming out with all those stupid comments and comparisons for the books and JK, it has increased the number of people interested in books but only realy the harry potter books - im about half way through the book and can quite honestly say she is a good write but not someone who i could ever compare to latter day classic writers !
still an enjoyable read though |
