Controlled explosion has been done on a Bus!

Other controlled explosions are taking place at the moment.

Evacuating China Town at the minute.

It wasn't new street

And guys - if stuff is happening there my exploits in Brum aren't appropriate chatter.

Agree with Kittie - there's always bomb scares in Brum. I guess the police have to massively over-react to everything right now 'coz if they don't take something seriously and it goes up they're gonna be right in it!

Sky News has been told that the package that was detonated wasn't suspicious.

Think we're gonna have a lot of this the next few weeks... back to the IRA days again for a while.

Yeh, there were 3 bomb scares that I know of in Nottingham alone yesterday! None of them made it to the national news though.

I forgot about that! Well, I guess it's fair to make some point that we've got other cities as well as London...

There's loads of times I've been turfed out from New Street station 'coz of bomb scares. That's why they got rid of left luggage so then you have to drag all your stuff round Brum half the day Rolling Eyes

birmingham has a MASSIVE chip on its shoulder - as soon as the olympic decision was made it was endless crap from the politicians in britains "second" town.

A small minority of brummies can't stand it, and will ring up and make false bomb threats just for the publicity.......

They are wrong
