The SCUK Winter Bash Dash is a friendly descent from high up in resort to a pre-determined finish line linked to the start point by marked pistes. It is part of the SCUK Winter Bash.
Who
All SCUK Bashers are encouraged to enter. There will be no shame in coming last, but much glory in coming first.
The Start
The start will be Le Mans style with riders out of their snowboard bindings. At the organiser’s signal, riders will run to their snowboards, strap in and set off.
The Route
The start of the route will be indicated by the organisers. Whilst the marked pistes are the obvious route, riders may take any safe route down the mountain from the starting point as long as they obey any instructions from the organisers. If there are any restaurants on the route or any sections where visibility ahead is restricted, riders should take special care when navigating these sections.
The Finish Line
The finish line will be determined before the start of the race. The first dude and dudette down the mountain will earn the Fist of Nuff Respect from their peers.
When
The event will be held at the end of the last full day of the SCUK Winter Bash. Riders will meet at the agreed gathering point by the agreed time, before making their way to the start point as instructed. The route is on public pistes and so the race will not start until the organisers feel the slopes are suitably clear.
Rules
1. You must complete the Waiver and Consent Form to compete.
2. Only snowboarders on the SCUK Winter Bash can win the Dash, although anybody may enter.
3. You must ride within your ability.
4. Do not endanger yourself, other competitors or other slope users.
5. You must follow the organisers’ instructions.
The Bash Dash is on a public piste. Please take care.
SCUK advise you wear suitable protective gear, including a helmet. |

I shall be drinking exclusively from a hip flask on the day to avoid foul play!
Whatever happens we can't let Pocket win again... |

| Argh I'm nervous just thinking about it! (I'm a little competitive you see and like to win!) |

I'm dead jealous, I might race some people that don't know me or know that i'm racing them down a slope when i go away this year to make up for it |

It's not the winning, it's the... no, actually it's the winning.
It's up to Pocket if he enters, but I suspect he'll be helping with the filming. Dawn is the current holder of the ladies' title. Really was a highlight last year and I got the biggest stoke from people who were just amazed they got down without stopping! Big grins all round and not to be missed.
Perhaps we can also have a Slash Attack Day too... rules to be advised. |

Cant wait. Was such good fun last year.
Wish it could be split into two divisions - Ie those who feel they need a head start to keep it respectable and those who believe they can win!
Me? I am hoping to improve on last years performance of 3rd last... Oh yes.
Seeing dunx cruise past me on Palafours flat bit as my board simply ran out of steam and wax was not good for the ego. |
