those burton bindings look similar to K2 Autos

Eh?! Theyre completely different to Autos, Autos have two standard style seperate straps but only one ratchet to control them both, the Burton ones have one fat strap thats ripped strait off a Flow binding.

Yep. Fingers just about flat. Can do palms as well if I stretch first or bounce into it

Bouncing is probably not good for you.

Personally I'm just naturally flexible. I don't do or rate the stretching business unless there's a lot of attractive lycra in the vicinity, but I can still do a bunch of stuff most people just can't. I cannot however lead E4: respect.

I concur. More women need to produce evidence they can do the splits. Pref while holding a stein of beer in each hand and have pigtails.

I surf in the summer... and although wetsuits are good for checking figures they aren't the most revealing.

I can get my hands flat on the floor!
You've tight hamstrings and tight lower back muscles. Exercise won't help by itself, but exercise and proper stretching will. Take up yoga, get a (good) PT or google stretching on YouTube and work at it steadily without bouncing, jerking or pain.
On the plus side, you'll avoid a lot of lower back problems caused by uneven pressure on the pelvis
