Post subject: Keep getting logged out

Why does the SCUK website keep logging me out - even when I've still got one or more pages open?
I sign it, check a few posts to see what I've missed while I've been away, then I notice that it says 'Log in' again at the top.
It's not a big deal but it does mean if I click on an email link to a thread I've been watching, it doesn't know I've visited it and I don't get any more 'new post' notifications. |

| I have the same problem, and it removes the recent forum posts that are unread too - tres annoying, and I do have the option ticked too. |

Ah, yes. I see. I'm sure I've ticked that in the past but still get logged out.
Have to wait and see what happens now I've ticked it again. |

| Out of interest, are you checking the site on another device/computer? Mine seems to do it to me when I get home or use my phone if I've been checking the site at work |

Does it on whichever computer I use - which is either work, home, or phone - but even if I have only been using the same one all day.
Seems ok for the moment tho. |

As this is cookie based it relies on the time on your PC, so double check that is accurate, else cookies can expire prematurely and you'll be logged off.
I've never had an issue. I think I have to log back in every few days.

As it's cookie based, you'll stay logged in for as long as you don't close your browser session unless you check the box, in which case the cookie is retained after you close your browser for a set time (not sure what duration we use TBH). The time on your PC will determine whether the cookie, which is stored on your PC, has expired.
