Getting an error "Tried to upload empty file" every time I try to post a pic. And I'm not doing anything stupid like not actually selecting a file to post, and they're jpegs so permitted file types.

Possibly a jpeg/jpg issue although I don't think it's been reported before. Try changing the file extension to ".jpg" before uploading.
