Well... Here's my review.
I just got back from Austria riding my new Raven board and have to say I love it.
Went out with some friends, one was riding my old Burton Custom and another was on his new Raven TTT rocker.
I have the RVN Rocker which is a twin tip with set back. Rode on both mine and the others, is slightly stiffer than the TTT. The bindings on the RVN can be set pretty much even if you want the True Twin tip feel.
I was happy with the slight set back, which helped when dropping off piste.
Found the RVN to be a good all rounder, very well made, easy to Ollie, doesn't grab on the flat which should make flat tricks easier.
So much better to ride than my Burton, which is a 10year old camber board.
So anyone thinking about getting one of these amazing boards. DO IT. You will not be disappointed. |

How soft is the TTT, im thinking about getting one for my second board for park, and butters etc. I bought a directional Raven at the start of the season and its been great but im looking to make in roads in to more freestyle stuff so a twin would be preferable. Just not sure whether to go with the softer TTT or the Core.
With the core i could still ride all mountain withthe one board but it is a little stiffer. Whereas i am a little concerned the TTT would be too noodlie if i wanted to hit a piste or two as well. Which does happen. Lol.
Glad you're enjoying your purchase mate. I was super surprised at just how good my board was for the price. Hence considering my second purchase. gonna get S600 bindings though this time. |

The reason I went for the RVN was because the stiffness is in between the Core & TTT. The only other difference is the set back as both TTT & Core are true twin tipped. The set back is only 15mm so can be made equal if you move bindings around. Being a reverse camber gives more pop too. |

I got a 149 technine enforcer (not sure what the relation to Raven is if any? sold by the same guy @snowboards24 though) with Raven250 bindings and took it to Avoriaz last week, I took my old 155 thinking the enforcer might not be too good in powder but it was awesome, I never touched my old board all week. It was great in the park, on piste, and offpiste in a foot or more of powder. had a bit of a setup problem on the first day, my heel dug in a few times when carving so I had to set the bindings towards the toe edge as far as they'd go but then it was sweet.
rails and boxes felt way more comfortable and the board way more flexy for slope tricks. it's a shame I'm a bit sh1t still, just can't blame the board anymore! |

Well here we are at the thread what brought me here in the first place.
These great reviews sound really promising. Still training for snowboarding at the moment but would these boards really be good enough for a beginner to start out on?
Some nice looking boards and bindings set for some really nice looking prices. |

Ive gotta say im pleasantly surprised by what people are saying about these boards. But then I did learn that expensive doesnt mean good for you.
I have a K2 WWW and a K2 Fastplant (almost twice as expensive). And out of the two I get on so much better with my K2 WWW |

I don't want to sound negative about this but I am having second thoughts about it. I find it a bit odd that there still isn't many reviews at all. Also read that the bindings didn't feel too great.
Could somebody post pictures of their board properly and maybe someone could do a video review as I don't kow now. I have been thinking about them step in bindings but before I do any real research in this area I think it's safe to say I need to get my boots fitted first. |

Ive just been sent a pair of bindings to try out and a few boards too, If anyone is in the three valleys in the next couple of months and wants to demo one then pm me.
Rich (Snorider) will post some proper pics of actual product up if you ask him nicely too.
Id say avoid them step in bindings too, theres a reason no one makes them any more. |

227angrydonkeys I'd be happy to get any information on the S600 bindings. Especially the practical differences between them and the basic S250 Bindings. For example i already know they are a better build quality but how much more/less flexible are they, how do the ratchets hold up? etc. The S250s are good enough to start and pretty forgiving to be honest with but i have found as i progress in to more agressive riding, tricks and park that they may be lacking a little. Just doing a little research before i buy the raven core I may just buy the core and get myself some ride contrabands for it...hmm... |
