snow socks? auto socks? socks for your car? i'm going to have to search for this on google. I read autosocks and the lazy inner me pictured actual socks that you don't have to put on yourself, then the inventor in me pictured the little machine that would do it! |

Personally I choose not to drive in the snow. It's not because I don't trust my own ability, it's the other people on the road I don't trust. For insurance purposes it's just not worth it really.
I was looking at a set of tyres with rims, but they start at £1,200 for a set, and whilst this is a little excessive, I just don't think I would get my monies worth.
I'd rather take a snow day and be safe than be stuck in traffic behind everyone else that left the house with no chains or socks. |

| What wheels you looking at to be paying that much for rims and tryes? My set cost me £460 delivered. Plus I went through to the site via topcashback so get 3% back on them. |

| I think these were 17" alloy and tyres direct from Audi (I know there will be a markup because they're from Audi). |

That'll explain it then.
If anybody's looking for Winter tyres ry these guys: www.mytyres.co.uk
Best price I could find for steel rims and Winter tyres and they came in less than a week. |

I tried this, but doesn't really make much difference if I want to keep my alloys on the car.

Pirelli W 240 Sottozero S2
255/35 R19 96V XL M0 BSW*
only £ 323.40
That price is for each tyre... |
