Post subject: how long have bargain boards had the SCUK discount

| Is it only recently they have had the dicount going? as i've bought a few things from them over the last few months and when i asked they said they didn't do the SCUK discount. hmmm |

| Not sure see jess in the office , but you have to e mail a pic of your scuk card to get them to refund 10% to your card , i kn ow this as i did it last week and the stuff came approx 4 hrs ago ...xmas all done now , time to spend on me |

Well the first time i bought stuff i picked it up and payed for it at the shop/unit
and i did ask if they did a scuk discount and was told no. but that was april this year. but we have been back since, lisa bough a r.e.d lid and pants, that was end of august.
so maybe it's only recently they have been part of scuk |

Feck i've just spent out £ 260 at bargain boards and didn't realize that i'd get 10% discount by joining SCUK, do you think i'm to late or might bargain boards help me out..?? Doh  |

| to get discount you have to e mail or show them your scuk card , after the order has been put in ...so all depends how long ago you did this , and how nice the guy is feeling when you call or e mail them |

I ordered on the 4th and the stuff arrived on Monday the 8th, i havn't joined SBUK yet, but was going to just before i go to Bansko so that i could buy my insurance through SBUK.
So i need to email a copy of membership card to them, do you know roughly how long after i join SBUK it takes to get an SBUK membership card, do they post me one or something ? |

hummm i think they may look at the joining date , so i think its a case of live and learn ........ but for my input i shall take a beer / zargorak with you when your over riding my hill , in Bansko ...when r u over ? how long for etc
And a thumbs up for the SCUK insurance |

So do SCUK post a membership card to new members, if SCUK email conformation of membership that would speed things up and maybe fingers cross..!!!

| Yes, the SCUK discount is a new thing we are offering on both our websites - BargainBoards.co.uk and our new Absolute-Snow.co.uk. I can not remember the exact date it started but it is quite recent. We have started to ask for scanned or photo copies of SCUK membership cards because we have had a few individuals sending us a random set of numbers hoping we would not notice! Sorry, we can not apply the discounts retrospectively to old orders but it does apply to all qualifying new orders. I remember a few years back we discussed going for a beer Dunx, why not pop in some time. |

I was looking at buying some pants from Bargain Board using SCUK discount about a month or so ago, and coz I couldn't see a simple way to claim the discount I emailed them to ask how to do so, I was then informed that I couldn't claim any since the product was in the "sale"- personally the item did not look like it was in a "sale" as the layout was no different to any of the other products (there are always prices crossed out and the "bargain boards price" next to it, so surely that means that every single item on the website is "sale" stuff?)
Anyways, a week later I got an email (as I've subscribed) and there was a discount code to use coz of the new site design, then I was able to get the discount. It all just threw me a little personally, why I couldnt claim scuk discount orginally??
Also how come you don't just have a discount code for all scukers so we can claim discount that way instead of having to scan in the membershipcard and send it to you??
Personally if I don't see the discount off the totally price straight away, then I am less inclined to want to purchase it if I have to contact you and then you refund the difference. But maybe that's just me? |
