i saved a bit, when i did a tour of the domes with a few mates i probably made back the fee in the first week.
i was actually trying to decide if i need to take out membership again when mine runs out at the end of the month, tbh i'm not bothered about the discounts as i tend to get mates rates for most things... but
I want to understand if the SCUK membership is also the BSA membership, because i don't want to give up a right to comment/object/support on the what the BSA does by not being a member |

saved 5 quid a trip to mk. Probably go 20 times a year. Used it to get £25 off some nike boots a few days ago. Will use it to save 20 on bindings and 30 on a board in the next couple of weeks. Plus I'll save a packet when I take out my season insurance.
So yes I have probably saved (over 3 years) £500 and its cost me less than £75 to be a member all that time.
Plus I got absinth dvds and other stuff from SCUK directly for free |

I took out a £15 membership in August 09 as we were staying in a chalet that's an SCUK partner in December 09, the discount was £25, so I was £10 'up'.
...and that's it.
My 'local' dome is nearly 100 miles away (and I wouldn't go anyway), I buy all my clothes on eBay and my insurance is with the P.O.
When it ran out I didn't bother renewing it as there's no point as we've sorted 2 of our 3 trips for 2011 and neither is with a SCUK partner (although one claims to be, but they aren't and that's been confirmed to me by Dunx) and in all probability #3 won't be with an SCUK partner. |

| Yeah I've saved ££££'s off hardwear and clothing, as well as slope time, best of all £55 off of Hemel membership which gives you even cheaper slope time. |

Made the subs back in under a month I'd guess, mostly from visits to Cas and the purchases here and there. Without doubt the best value for money club, regarding financial return, that I've been a member of to date.
Is now a good time to mention SCUK2.0? LOL |

| Between Insurance discount and frequent trips to MK i have easily saved more than the price of membership. |

| I periodically re-join just for the discounts when I am due a spending spree. Last time I joined the discount for going to the Bash alone made it worth it, and I have used it for the insurance until recently, as well as the odd bit of kit etc. I could never be bothered with the beanies/SCUK labelled tools etc, so the newish reduced membership is a boon. I'm not a member every year, but before booking anything or buying anything expensive I check it out to see if the membership will save me anything. Overall it's a good thing, if you have money to spend elsewhere. |

I used my SCUK card to save £55 on a membership at Hemel and used it a handful of times in shops buying gear. Well worth the £15 membership |

I agree, the £55 off to join Hemel was a big discount for me. Also saved about £15 off of my Four Square pants that I bought from TSA last year. |

I don't use mine for discounts, but really like the coloured icon in the forum. It's worth it for that alone.
Always interesting to find out what people use it for though. Will move this in to the SCUK forum for visibility. |
