Is there anywhere in Ayrshire that you can get a board service. I'm a beginner and after renting gear for a while i've took the plunge and bought a board.
Don't want to make a mess of it trying to service the first time myself

Agree with Curtis.

Waxing a board is something its very difficult to mess up (have a look at the videos on Youtube).

In terms of sharpening your edges - you'll never use the board enough for it to be an issue I'd wager. I reckon 99% of people who own a snowboard don't get enough use to ever need the edges re-done before they get their next board.
