Whats your best snowboarding arcade/video game?

I really love STOKED for xbox360 if anyone has it let me know i can hook up with you on Xbox Live.
Other than this i like shaun white snowboarding for Wii, just because it's different.

I've looked at buying STOKED a few times but never actually done anything about it. I've got the shaun white one for the xbox and its pretty good, just a bit fed up of it as i've played it that much.

I might pick up STOKED next time im shopping, i think its only a tenner now!

Xbox gamertag "Touareg Warrior"

I have it, but don't really get on with it. I've also got Amped 3 for the 360, but that's rubbish as well!

Amped 1 and 2 were way better!

1080 was Rad - so was coolboarders and its DC port that had some wicked levels and cool trick system, back in the day... they seem to have gone downhill since then in a big way..

I don't like any of them. I get frustrated cos my gamer skillz are weak. Then I get depressed cos I'd rather be out on a snowboard than sat in front of the TV controlling a pretend one! Rolling Eyes

I'll come back when you want to talk Mario bros and Mariokart... Razz

I think we've struggled to get a really good game this generation, despite having some fantastic consoles.

Amped 3 is pretty much a 360 launch game... it's old now.
That said, it's good fun and probably the best still.

Shaun White is terrible. It's got the best graphics and was obviously the most high profile release, but it's just no good and the entire game has you collected silly coins. I've barely even bothered playing it.

Stoked is a much more real feeling game. The tricks you do are achievable in real life, as opposed to being stupidly over the top. You've also got the freedom to go ride around in powder and take a chopper places. It's got pros on board and various real gear in it too. However it suffers because it's not that well polished, as it's only from a small developer.

I'd really like to see another EA SSX game. I loved SSX3 and played that too death. Sure it's pretty unrealistic, but it was really good fun.

shaun white is okay on the wii, with mates, beers and the balance board...

Other than that i'm all about SSX

SSX and SSX Tricky on the old PS2 were ace, but the series went downhill soon after.

Find Stoked too buggy and frustrating to be fun, played it for a couple evenings and gave up, just meh... Shaun White is meant to be pants so avoided. Quite enjoyed Amped 3, but possibly only 'cos it was a 360 launch title - imagine if I gave it a try now I'd find it pretty bad... why aren't there games like Horrace Goes Skiing on the ZX Spectrum?

*edit* just remembered there's snowboarding in the new Tony Hawk's game. Shame it's on the stupid skate controller thing and equally being aimed more at kids than "gamers" so expect it to be sh1t too.

Yeah, I've not actually bothered with Stoked since the first couple of weeks I got it, some of the challenges also get ridunkolous where you have to follow move for move what the Pros do. I got a bit sick of Wolle Nyvelt laughing at me after a while!

I actually went back to Amped 3 not so long ago, as I hadn't actually finished it. It's a bizzare game, with a crazy story. The last level has you trying to dodge sharks swimming in the snow!

It's still fun, it's just very noticeable how dated the graphics look to titles now. For instance, even though it has real pros in the game, they look nothing like what they should do.

I tried that Tony Hawks Skate game at the Metro Show last year and thought it was quite clever. However all the reviews of the game showed that it was terrible. Bit of a shame, as that had some real promise for maybe a snowboard version.
