Just trying to find out which GNU board is the Lib Tech Skate Banana (with the magnetraction) in drag? I've tried searching but it's coming up with 3 boards:
Park pickle
Street
Riders choice
Or something along the lines of them, lol. Cheers |

I'm sure there is a vid of the 2010/2011 jib boards test, think it was at Hemel
and the GNU park pickle/street were compared to the skate nana

afaik all the Gnu and Lib Tech boards have the wavey edges and some form of the banana-rocker. The higher-spec models have a C2 banana-rocker which is different to the SB (more like the Never Summer RC).
remember the pickle is asymmetrical tho (i think) - 1 side is different from the other so there's a specific toe and heel side, and you use the board backwards if you're goofy, but it's a twin-design so doesn't matter. What's different? The heel side is thicker or something, so it's more responsive to try and balance out the lever effect your get with your feet which makes the toe-edge of a normal board more responsive. Pretty sure the SB doesn't have this. |

| The street has the same core, flex and effective radius. I think the sizes may be subtly different, though. I haven't checked this years website yet. |

Yeah it's The Park Pickle which is supposed to be very similar.
They were available in the UK last season, most likely all sold out and you won't find one here until new season stuff is released. |

Think I've found one at a decent price!! What are these like as a jib/freestyle/mess about board? Flexy enough? Decent enough pop? Is it as good as people make out for piste/off piste? I watched that King of Jib video on YouTube and it came 3rd out of 12 or 13 boards. But it's best to get owners reviews!

just so you know asymmetrical refers to the side cut of the boards being different not thickness besides that your spot on with the reason why. |

think the Pickle has both an asymmetrical side-cut plus an asymmetrical core/design so one side is dimensionally different to the other. Know the original pickles were thicker on the heel-side than the toe, but not 100% sure it's still the case. Know the write-ups mainly focus on the tighter side-cut on the heel-edge 'cos it's easier to explain, but look at one in person and you'll spot the toe-side is thinner too.
The board is still mirrored in the middle so tip and tail are the same, so just have to ride it backwards if you're goofy. |

| Why do you want this board? There is plenty of (better) choice from other manufacturers. |

| I'm after a freestyle/park based board that won't suffer as soon as you use it around the mountain. I used to have a Rome Agent, man do I regret selling that!! But when I had it, my riding wasn't all that great and I wasn't really that into freestyle, jibbing etc. I've got a Bataleon Jam at the mo, but it's too stiff for playing!! |

Honestly m8, there's while world outside Mervin (not that they're bad, just don't limit your options), just look at the new season's awards:
Good Wood - mainly park boards
Best of Test
Atm mainly ride a 09 Gnu Danny Kass (practically identical to a Skate Nana except stiffer and quicker - so better on the mountain) and going for a Never Summer Evo as soon as I can in a couple weeks...
Park & all mountain would really look at Never Summer Evo (park twin) or SL (directional all mountain freestyle), Capita Stairmaster Extreme, Forum Destroyer Chillidog, Ride Machete or K2 Fastplant (or try some Yes boards). Hell, try a load in a dome and see what you like - don't just limit yourself to 1 make... |

and last year (08-09) the Skate Nana was the most warranty-returned board of the year...
to ammend my previous post - due to Danish posting, remember to add the Bataleon Evil Twin to the list of park boards which can do all-mountain, if you're already used to the tbt tech. |
