I bet by the time we go there will be more closet skiers than boarders!
We can take over. |

All are welcome. We've had people come before who have had a few lessons and otherwise kept away from the slopes entirely... the worst of the worst "chalet dwellers". Just no Lycra (unless he's a she in which case it may be actively encouraged).
I skied for 2 years. I didn't like it much. |

I used to ski, then I saw the light although it dimmed recently so I tried Skiing again at the Brits for the day... you'll be glad to know the light is firmly back on
Someone told me "Every now and again you've got to try a hamburger to appreciate a good steak..." |

Didn't Spencer win the masters skiercross a few years ago as no one else entered? |

I'm not sure you can fully appreciate boarding, unless you have done at least one week in ski boots looking at the boarders thinking "wow that looks like more fun".

@otlawrence - any resort can suffer periods of poor snow no matter how high the lifts go to in Les Arcs most of the lifts go to around 2400m which is the same as morzine/avoriaz, Morzine only seems low because of the towns altitude and that it doesnt have any very high lifts (yes in les arcs you could go to 3200m but the few runs down were not worth doing twice) your mate just probably went at/heard of a bad period. I'm praying for powder every day
As for Skiing.. Never tried it but was thinking of giving it a go while away for the past season in Les Arcs. All the skiiers in my house also snowboarded so i thought i'd see if skiing is really as bad as the pure snowboarders say.
However i never got round to it and now don't realy regret it |

| I used to ski, not through choice mind. I am a bit of an old git and got into boarding as soon as it was vagley heard of and I found a board for hire. Then I managed to buy 1. It was quite a few years that I was the only english person I knew of in a resort on 1. Always caused a bit of a stir with the reps. Usually insults of being an out of controll nutter. Showed them that this was an unfounded myth. |
