After reading the article and being new to the saga, I didn't really understand why people were against it so decided to have a look at the Snoasis concern website. Don't want to start a debate about whats right or wrong but thought i'd share this "accurate mock up" of what the slope will look like from a nearby village!

http://www.snoasisconcern.com/view.aspx?ID=155

If that's accurate then I hope it doesn't go ahead as it looks pretty hardcore!!

They've already lost the inquiry.

P.S. The rest of the saga is here www.snowboardclub.co.uk/news-greatblakenham.html

While these are only intended as a guide to what SnOasis will look like, the results are both stunning and frightening. If you live near to the site and were not concerned about SnOasis before, you should be once you see these images. If the real buildings are anything like them, it could have a significant and negative impact on the value of your house. Remember, it is likely that the building will be lit with high intensity navigation lights because of its proximity to Wattisham. Just imagine the view at night.

So basically a translation of what that paragraph means:

While this doesn't actually bare any relation to what may or may not be built, just imagine how scary it will be when it eats your children. We don't know for sure whether the children eating facility will be included in the design of the building, but if it does we may face lots of dead kiddies.

Its the same with all the applications for windfarms we get here in the east anglia. The opponents of the scheme spread rumour and put out false photos, normally with the presumably legally watertight phrase of "We don't know if it'll look like this, but imagine if it did!" even though its grossly different from what's actually planned.

In fact, one of the campaign groups near where I live got in quite a lot of trouble, because they were putting photos out, like that one of Snoasis, that were basically totally false. But of course that doesn't matter cos the image is already ingrained into peoples imaginations.

Looking at that photo though, snoasis looks the same distance from the camera as the electricity pylon. Given that the Snoasis, according to teh snoasis concern website is only going to be, say, between 15 and 25m higher than the pylon at most, so this drawing looks hugely out of scale![/url]

Maybe, but looks more like they're changing hosting servers or their domain registrar.

Doesn't sound like the reason for delays to me. I would be surprised if it was anything other than lack of funding.
