I know we've covered this before, but we've tweaked the server and we hope to have fixed this issue.
Symptom is that every once in a while SCUK won't load and displays a big "Database connection error" message.
We think it's caused when a heap of search engine robots all decide to index the site at the same time. So, we tweaked the robots config file, slowed down Google's searchbot and also increased the number of concurrent database connections.
Please post up here if you see this error again at any time. |

That's the one, but this morning? Bum, we made the changes yesterday!
It does sort itself out if you keep refreshing the page, but keep reporting them if you can  |

| I get it semi-frequently (1-2 times a week), however it's normally resolved by refreshing the page. |

| Not sure whether anyone else has seen this but it seems to have happened a couple of times recentley. Once a couple of weeks back and one just now. |

| Yes, I've just got it consistently for a few minutes, but all okay now. Have asked the tech monkeys to have a look right now to see if they can see any issues. It's normally simply too many people trying to hit the site at once, but could be a coordinated attack, so worth looking in to further. |

Hi Dunx,
You probably have it all under control,
Have you chek where the connections are coming from,
Its could be a DOS / DDOS we see thing like this all the time.
