Not so much an improvement to the website, but how about adding all of the dates in the Calender section into an iCal calender (or series of calenders), and saving the iCal database to the server and providing a link on the site..?
That way anyone with an iPhone/iPod Touch can download a 'SCUK/Snowboard Events' iCal to their phone/Touch or computers iCal app, and have all of the SCUK social events, trips, comps (local, national or even international) or any other event listed at their fingertips through iCal.
The 'SCUK/Snowboard Events calender can be set to download an updated calender to the persons device anytime the iCal database is updated on the server too. (well, that's how I think it works anyway...) |

I like the idea of an iCal download...
Can we have some kind of results page... I know sometimes stuff goes in the news section but I'd be intrigued to know who won things like the Grom games, the different events they hold throughout the summer at the fridges, also things like the Brits, X-Games... and so on. |

+ 1 for iCal or similar.
Android users can easily convert an iCal calendar into a Google Calendar format through Google Calendar and sync it with their phone. I know this because I've done it numerous times and avidly use Google Calendar to organise my life, via my android phone and online. |

We can certainly look at doing iCal.
Results are a little tricky. Even when I used to attend many events the organisers wouldn't be able to give you a list of winners, so we're very much reliant on them to get write-ups to us... which doesn't always happen.
The SCUK calendar (written by me years ago) actually has separate pages for results, reviews and galleries, I just don't use them any more because it's so ad-hoc. |

| If that's the case would it be good to encourage a bit more user contribution on that front? The submissions may vary in quality but it'd be a good way of getting people involved. |

I think so but probably they should submit it to a Moderator or something to be issued...
As I said, I'm just intrigued to know how the Grom Games went (and I still am) and the Dawn of the Shred)... |

Obviously it would need to be subject to some sort of editing process.
There's stuff about Dawn of the Shred on FotP and on the Whitelines website too. |

SCUK2 is all about user contribution and when we get the userpoints stuff working you'll actually be rewarded for content.
No idea about the Grom Games, although I'd expect something from Pat about it. His last Facebook update was him going to bed!
Exactly what I mean about Vans DotS. Nothing from Vans direct, but Ed from Whitelines was there...
