Heya,
I know it's the wrong end of the season really to be buying equipment but i can't seem to find a helmet anywhere and i need a new one, Do you think no matter what end of the season were in, Protection equipment should be available and stocked?
I may be sayin this because of my own personal experience shopping at this time of the season, But i think if it could be the difference between a knock and a hospital trip shouldn't it be taken seriously throughout the year and available at least to pre-book so a shop can order in?
What do you think?

where you looking??

i've just picked up a sandbox lid from bucks, got an s2a flyer yesterday and they have loads in http://www.s2as.com/b-Snowboardimpactgear-73.aspx, subvert are still showing some stock online

i agree that you should be able to get a lid all season, but understand from the shops view that they don't want to end up with "last" seasons colors next season

as i mainly ride plastic in the summer i usually just wear a skate lid for the snowflex & domes anyway, the cold in the domes in not enough to change the protection offered by a skate helmet and you can usually pick one up from any okay skate shop for a reasonable price all year round.

Ermm Branny dude you got your lid from Bucks Boarding Centre in MK haha whopsie.

Try tsa in any of the domes, also many snowboard shops also do other board sports, such as Bucks Boarding, so they will have a stock year round but you may not get the exact colours/design you want.

Do you know what lid you want?

I went into TSA in MK the other day and they had heaps of helmets for sale. Failing that, look online - there are heaps. My just ordered mine online Very Happy

If you try on a few but don't like the colour, remember you can always look for the sames ones but different colour online Thumbs Up

its not the colour i'm really bothered about its more the sizes, Adult sizes seem to fly off the shelves, unless you got a really small head lol!!!! sayin that thou i got a lot of hair which bumps me up a size aswell.
Also, What do you guys think of the prices of helmets? skate helmets are half the price of snow but surely a helmets a helmet right whats the big difference between the two?
And branny, Yes i am tryna step it up for next year i'm tryna hit a special move i come up with, Coinsidently (and i know your gona laugh at this) i come up with it on a skate game on ps3 lol but nothin wrong with a lil computer inspired inspiration lol :p i'm tryna pull it off for the brits next year hopefully, Even if not on a competitive level at the brits if i land it i'l be over the moon.

well proper snow helmets have to pass a more stringent testing regime, plus they usually have a liner and extras like goggle straps etc

so i guess the extra cost can be accounted for

Will second the Sandbox helmet choice, they are awesome if you can get your hands on them.

Got myself the blue Brainbox one, awesome.
