I've got a Dakine low roller (160) and I've stuffed it with a fair amount - board, bindings, boots, pants, jacket, gloves, helmet and still room left for some clothes (but probably not too much more). I guess it depends on how creative you are with your packing...

another vote for the low roller.
Had it a year, used it for 2 trips and it's still like new, ace!

easily fit 2 boards (both wrapped in B&Q pipe lagging), a pair of bindings (not found a way to get my oversized boots in it tho Sad, so have them in suitcase strapped in a 2nd pair of bindings), jacket, pants, back protector, danger-pants, gloves, wrist-guards, jeans, hoody and a couple t-shirts... Imagine if i wasn't such the worrier I'ld skip the pipe lagging and work out how to get my boots in along with extra clothes to not need any other luggage apart from helmet in backpack hand-luggage.

http://edge2edgeshop.co.uk/category/51/Snowboard_Bags Now down to £50ish. (remembered this site had them at £35 this time last year when I got mine Shocked Obviously not such a massive sale this time round, still not bad tho)

Depends on what your flight allowance will be, the high roller is massive but will be heavy when full Thumbs Up

I've got a Ride Sanitarium board bag and its can fit everything needed for a week in the mountains in it...and its surprisingly slim for the amount it holds!

I'm away next week so have just loaded up my Dakine Low Roller to see what it weights.

Weighing in at 14.6kg in the alpine plaid corner, it contains:

1 Board (with edge protecting pipe lagging - top tip Derek!)
Bindings
Boots (and socks)
Jacket
Pants
Gloves
Jumper
Helmet
Impact Shorts
Tool
Lock

There's still some space around the boot compartments where you could stuff underwear, t-shirts etc. but parhaps not enough for a hoodie or anything. At a push I could probably squeeze a coupla pairs of jeans and a hoodie in the main compartment. It's nicely packed as is though...

with 2 boards and all my sh1t (except boots) it was just about 15 1/2kg's on the airport scales.

I also use cable-ties to secure the 2 top "boot" pockets and have a pair of nail scissors tucked away with my toolkit in the main compartment to allow me to remove them once there/home. Lock the main compartment with a TSA padlock to keep it secure but allow authorities the ability to open if needed (not happened yet, as it tells you if it's been).

tbh m8, when I went to Austria over Xmas the airport just left all board-bags in the carpark for ppl to fight over. I saw at least 1 person standing on someone else's board-bag to reach there's, was a joke - make sure it's packed well and padded... with this in mind I'd recommend keeping your helmet in your hand-luggage, just 'cos I'd not want to question it's protection after someone's stood on it (just don't try slapping it on mid-flight as I'd imagine bad sh1t to follow)...

Like Snowgirl says check your baggage allowance. Got issues coming back from Val D, the check in desk wanted to charge more as the dakine low roller was over 12kgs....but then one of the split rollers was a bit over the 20kg mark. (keep in mind that 32kgs is the max limit for a baggage handler to lift in one bag). We could have split the weight difference over other bags but eventually she let us through with no additional charge.

Always worth either paying the extra before flying or keeping to your weight allowances (which I totally understand not being enough for a season). An alternative, if you're doing some kind of course, find those you're with and ship stuff by freight collectively, heard of a group that did this and saved bucks but, only coz there were so many of them.

Was this wirth EasyJet? I'm flying with them on Thursday and was planning on putting in 15Kgs, then having a case at 17kgs so the combined was 32kgs. I can't see anywhere on their site that says the board bad has to be 12Kgs...it just says max combined weight for hold baggage is 32kgs.

I was with EasyJet 2 weeks ago and was fine with 15kg board bag and the rest in suitcase.

Got warned over xmas as my suitcase was 25kg and they claimed new regulations are coming in that no 1 item can be over 23kg. Think that was Thomson (whoever fly for Crystal)...
