Hey guys
Unfortunately my season is coming rapidly to an end, plus, alas, it's going to be my last. To make matters worse I haven't achieved some of the tricks that I set out to do. Really need freestyle lessons. I don't want to give up riding when I get back and want to get better in the park so does any have any heads up on the Snowdome in Milton Keynes? Is it any good? Do they have freestyle lessons / nights? I want to be able to nail flatland tricks, boxes and rails and get some good air and spinning off kickers. I'm a bit of a golden oldie so wondered if they do adult lessons (not sure how I'd feel with a bunch of kids in the same class zooming around me). Is there anywhere closer to London other than Milton Keynes? How much are lessons etc?
Any advice would be great.
Cheers all xx |

check out www.maverix.org they don't do adult lessons, but i've been on days where theres been like a 40 yea old and a ten year old and no one would notice, in the situation of the courses- the lessons are split into ability and all the kids that ride with them are very park aware, and good kids.
Milton do do their own SnoAcadamy, but most weeks theres about 3 kids on it, and a few adults. |

If you read what he says- he doesnt feel he would be right in a lesson with kids, so wanted specific adult lessons. All maverix courses are open to kids and a most of the time would have them on them. I should have said specifically adult, sorry. |

dont worry about adult specific lessons mate, all the groups are mixed ages, of the same ability, I quite like being with a few kids as they throw themselves more and ensure that you push yourself |

you've got both maverix or definition courses. They both run at MK and Hemel.
I haven't been on either course but they both have a good reputation. I'm hoping to do one before i go back to Whistler next January. |

Mk runs Sno Academy on a Thurs night 7-9pm with coaches. Hemel has a coached session on a Fri night from 7pm.
If you wanna learn freestyle you're pretty much stuck with whoever is out on the slope. 1 thing you could do is a Private Lesson with J or one of the other coaches from Maverix.
Here ya go take a look round the site for what might suit you. How old is golden oldie? (If you don't mind my asking).
You could also think about going to dryslopes like Bromley or Chatham. Where will you be travelling from and by car? Or train? |

Golden Oldie at 30, i do hope not !!! I am planning to do the course and already 37, what does that make me ???
Only just noticed that they tend to be on a saturday or a sunday, how do they work that on the slope ? Do they take over a complete side or is it just a case of being on there with everyone else on recreational boarding ?? |

No you just mix in with everyone else. Your the only ones really allowed to use the kickers and boxes though. It no big problem, oh and with the cost involved it does tend to be the slighly older rider on the courses |
