My girl's folks have a place in Enveitg which is about 20 mins drive from both of these.....going over at Easter to check them out (and maybe a few of the other resorts around the area, there seems to be loads). Anyone been around there?

I've been to Les Angles but haven't boarded there. I've heard its OK for a day or two but is quite limited and is not very high, so loses its snow quite early in the spring. That said, it can get epic dumps of powder and you will probably have the place almost to yourself.
Its a lovely part of Spain.

Oh cool, nice one. Yeah it's not very high at all around there, I was wondering what the snow was going to be like. It's a cheap holiday though so it's no big deal whatever happens. I'm only there for 3 or 4 days so as long as the snow is ok it'll suit me really, just nice to get out somewhere!

Got back yesterday, did Les Angles, Font Romeu and La Masella. Les Angles was cool, though La Masella was the best. Nice long runs, decent reds (some a little too tricky for me though!) and a good park with a pipe. It's right next to La Molina but is the bigger of the two resorts. Was staying with my girl's cousin who has a holiday home there so he knew all the slopes really well, hence had some really good long rides and didn't have to look at a map once!
Font Romeu was much smaller and not that great to be honest, the reds are all over one side of the mountain and you couldn't link them up for a big run, plus the only way to get back over to the other side (where we were parked) was on an agonisingly long, essentially flat, green... Still had loads of fun though.
The snow wasn't billiant as it was really warm in the afternoon hence the bottom half of the mountain got a bit slushy, but there was a fresh dump of about 8ins on the Saturday night making the Sunday a decent day.
All in all for my first boarding holiday it was absolutely brilliant....plus I know it can only get better as I progress in ability and manage to get a whole week away somewhere in a big resort with better quality snow....can't wait!
