Hi,

I know there are loads of these posts but I was looking into doing a snowboard instructor course and I like the look of Nonstop, Peak Leaders, Ski Force and Ski Le Gap. I also came across this one which at £4000 for 18 weeks looks too good to be true...has anyone had any experience with any of the above companies or the sunshine group

Nonstop Snowboard is a pretty good choice Wink Check out the website http://nonstopsnowboard.com and see what you think. If you have any questions feel free to ask or just phone the friendly guys in the London office Smile

That does not include food, Only use of a kitchen! Poland is meant to be cheap but 18 weeks???

Also exams are in Andorra, don't think it includes flights from Poland to Andorra...not profesional enough for me, to many question marks!

I would 2nd snowboardcoach!

Two of my biggest mysteries in snowboarding:-

1. Why people think they need a REALLY stiff board to ride fast.

and

2. Why people who want to become instructors spend thousands and thousands of pounds doing something they could do for free if they just put a bit of effort in....

Granted its got a little tougher since immigration laws changed in the US, but its still possible.

1. A really stiff board will help you to be more stable at speed than a soft board. However, you don't need a really stiff board to go fast. A medium stiff board will do. It all depends on what you'll be doing mostly.

2. Think about what value you get for what you pay for.

1. Also true.

2. I believe you would get more value working at a resort taking advantage of the free training and teaching actual students.

I dont expect you to agree, if I were making thousands out of instructor courses, I wouldnt agree with me either. Dont get me wrong, im not knocking you - I would love to be in your position.

NONSTOP was amazing... so if you can get the cash go for it!!... Fernie is defs the best choice!!

Ski Le Gap are meant to be really good as well, my friend went away with them and gets regular work in Switzerland!!

It depends what you want, if you just want to become an instructor, are already a really good rider, and know somewhere that will allow you to shaddow lessons and sh1t then i guess that would be a cheaper option. If you think your an ok rider, chances are your not good enough to teach yet, which is where having instruction 5 days a week for 11 weeks comes in pretty handy!!... And even then you need to put in the practice to avoid rusting up!!
