No idea - I was in bed by 10.30pm nearly every night
(well, save the SCUK sponsored night in the Indy Bar ) |

Ripped a couple of ligaments. Apparently Swiss alcohol is *all* medicinal, so that was a bit of luck.
Also set fire to the dancefloor, not as much as Dunx when they threw on a bit of Sabbath though. |

I heard the nightlife was epic... my mate Kenny said he had to put a Titan like effort in to get on it every night.
Did any SCUK types enter anything? |

The snow wasn't as good as previous years, but had a banging week. Nasty sticky wet snow was not the Vapor's best friend! The dump for the last day made the week though and we got some fresh tracks and great turns high up. Spent most of the week riding with ROBster and HarryCambs
Managed to see most of the finals, except slopestyle as the lift back up had been shut due to high winds.
Candle burnt at both ends thanks to the various club nights at one end that kept me up to 2am most mornings and Duracell bunny ROBster at the other end who made me meet him for lifts by 9.30 every morning.
Some great nights though. The Cushe/SCUK night at Indy bar had me dancing on the stage in disguise. 7" throw down night I was Russian dancing on the tables. Animal Rock Night was amazing and I hope there's some photos up soon, although not of me as I was in disguise again.
Red Bull Home Run was a banger and Andy (passtherizla) just pipped me at the post. I timed it and got down in around 3 minutes. Amazing what adrenalin can do!
Hope all the injured are on the mend... Andy (ninjatadpole) seemed to be managing to dance okay at Indy despite the ankle (or that might have been the lady attention he was getting), Harry managed to break himself and ROBster crashed and burned on some flatland nonsense.
Met plenty of SCUKers whilst we were out there. Loads of people who don't use the forum, but some good chats. |

| The vast majority of riders will be SCUK members because of the insurance we do for competitors, they just don't come on the forum much! |

I'm rubbish at drinking.... did stay out a few nights but the music wasn't what i went for... if it was I wouldnt have gone in teh first place.
I did speak to John Dragon about getting a punk night on in teh future and he was keen to hear about the bands I suggested and that they may be doing a UK style tour... must email him. |

Awesome review... as I thought wrt apres... I'll need to go next year. To be honest for me by that time of the season I am not massively fussed by the conditions, I'm more there for the atmosphere (like the X-Games, which if you didn't go this year you need to). Plus I always seem to ride better when I am hanging out (as does Kenny).
It is a shame about the conditions but that's always a gamble... I've been away at the start of Jan before and had no snow for 20 days... even Tignes was struggling until 4 days ago. I can definitely recommend getting to the states for a fix, you won't be disapointed. |

Well, we managed to get "Rescued" on the first day, instead of coming down the bubble from the lat bit of the flims are one of the guys I wold not mention decided to go down that off piste 74, I did mention that was crap and should not go but went anyway and foolishly decided to make company just in case, snow run out, walk on mud, then was unridable waist deep slush then a climb down when we got greeted by the ski patrol who led us down to the bottom but we had another half an hour of waist deep slush. The chair lift operators where not too happy to keep them for an extra hour for the bubble down to Flims then we got the bus back.
The riding the rest of the week was slushy to say the least. Ah we missed the boardercross as they managed to finish early when we just got there. The big air was interesting with the backflips etc. Got some good shots of the half pipe as well. Did not see the slopestyle as Dunx mentioned and managed to sprain the knee and shoulder wiping out as was building speed up before a roller that day. Well, was Friday and we finally had a powder dump and I had to ride the next day, that compensated for the whole of the week. Rob somehow managed to do his arm/chest that day and at the end did not take part the Red Bull Home Run. I took the Red Bull Home Run slowly this time due to injury.
The apres ski was fun with the "Cushe" air bag, live music, "Rock Band", etc. Think the Red Bull olie might have been canceled due to snow, and I the Red Bull tent fell on my head as well.
Must say the resort has improved facilities a lot, still pricey thought.
Was less impressed with the evening parties as there where no live bands this time and mostly DJs, which is definitely not my cup of tea. |
