Have done plenty of reading, but am sure others will be able to give some real world detail.
I am looking for a park/indoors snowboard that won't be too lost on bigger parks on the mountains. I am no small lad, which will affect choice (16 1/2 stone and 6ft2). Have been looking at the k2 www rocker in a 155 or jibpan in 156.
I ride a 160 on the mountain at the mo, and as these ride 5cm longer due to the jib tips I am sure they will be fine. Just wondering if the www will be a bit too whippy, as its obviously cheaper.
The board will mostly be used in the domes, then for boxes, rails and odd jump when away. My main board for things is a 160 ride society, but it's a bit too advanced and unforgiving for my jibbing tastes. |

You say you have a 160 ride society, but you say its to full on for park use for you.
Have you looked at a ride Dh2 59 from 09/10 or have look for a ride dose 59 they go back years there good boards and spot on for you to use inside there not as full on like your other board |

I had though about the dose, dh and Dh2. Was hoping I could get something shorter though that will spin easier and be a bit more dome friendly than the longer ones, hence I focussed on the K2's given the long effective edge vs length.
If I hadn't got such a good deal on the society, I'd have got this years dh as I lovce the colour! It appeals to the garish inside me. |

k2 www is a great board, bomb proof. Just got back from a week of chucking my www 152 around in la clusaz and its held up great, the ptex topsheet takes a lot of abuse and the edges ding rather than delaminating.
its pretty flexxy but solidly built,in my opinion its far above its prive point in terms of quality. |

| Jibpan is an awesome board too, not quite as soft as the www so might suit your weight better. |

That's what I was thinking, was worried the www would be abit too noodly for me for anything outside of the dome. |

Hi at the start on this thread you said you ride a society 160 But at the weight you put at the start that board is no good for you as a standard piste board as the spec shows
http://ridesnowboards.com/images/produc ... ociety.jpg
if you are after a board for for indoor slopes you need to look at the Spec more.
The jibpan
150 weight 110-190 waist 24.50
153 weight 120-200 waist 24.60
156 weight 130-210 waist 24.80
159 weight 130-210 waist 25.00
which is no good at all
for you |

The rider weights are just guidelines, if you followed them guys like me would be on 170cm boards or the like and they wouldn't be worth riding!! the ride guideline is up to 190lbs for the 160, the jibpan (a softer board no less), 210 on a 156 which just proves my point. The 153 k2 www rocker wide, for instance, is rated up to 230 lbs, and it's a complete noodle compared to the other two.
The reason I am looking for something different is the society is very unforgiving of errors due to its higher end stiffness, slightly wrong weight distribution on jibs and landing mean edge catches and you ending up on your back or face, hence looking at more forgiving boards. |

I own a Jibpan, And love it,
Ive never ridden a ride DH so cannot comment on them,
The jibpan is amazing though, i own the 153 and tbh its probably the best board ive riddenm not super fast but for freestyle it is a serious weapon |

| I am very much erring towards the jibpan I must admit, just for the slight extra versatility over the www, how would you rate it's flex on a 1 - 10 scale? |
