Does anyone know if Riders Palace in Laax has any sort of kitchen? I understand the rooms don't have one, but maybe a communal one, or even a microwave/kettle?

Planning on renting a 540 room with some mates for 3 nights

Nope and as Ed says if you get caught smuggling anything in, they'll confiscate it and that includes any food/drink... or microwaves like somebody tried to smuggle in last year. They are dorm rooms, not apartments. I assume it says as much on their website.

no food in the rooms is a bit extreme.. after all they might be dorm rooms but me and my mate have one to ourselves!

Stayed in 180 dorm room for 5 earlier this year. We bought food from the petrol station shop about 200 yards down the road. Didn't have any probs bringing it back to our rooms.

They do serve breakfast at the bar for about £9 but the petrol station shop had fresh bread, etc. so we just had that. For dinner there's a decent pizzeria next to the petrol station and other restaurants such as an Asian wagamama style place up at rocks resort.

The hostel towards laax is a good place for a cheaper beer...
