| I am 16 nearly 17 been skiing once in Austria for a week my instructor told me he couldn’t believe it was my first go he said i had a natrul talent for it. Fed up of collage and want to do somthing i enjoy, i want to become a skiing instructor can anybody point me in the right direction, one problem i come from a poor background so do you know any organisations that fund these kinds of projects or help towards them any feedback would be much appreciated. |

Jusk a tad harsh don't you think?
We all know that this is a snowboard forum, so he must have accidently written Ski, but meant snowboard. A rookie move that.
If you want to be a Snowboard Instructor; you can go with BASI or Snowsport GB. You need to be level 1 to work in the UK, 2 or above to work elsewhere.
This will cost about £500 for level 1, at last a G for 2, and at least 4K for level 3.
In a UK dome, you will be paid at or near minumum wage, at private dryslopes, slightly more, and at Council run ones a lot more.
There are grants; email BASI or Snowsport GB, Snowsport England and ask (most likely better off calling them however). |
