anybody change money in the last couple of days? What sort of exchange rate did you manage to get, and where?

I know it is absolutely awful at the moment, just wondering where is the best place. Cheers

Ive been looking too as im away next week. Checking out the moneysupermarche website is best. The best deals are in places in central london. Failing that M&S works out about £30 worse than the best when changing up £400. Also take cash to change dont use any cards as it seems you get stung for a few extra % if you do. Hope this helps.

Just wish I changed mine before christmas when I first thought of it. Pretty much pound for euro at the mo!

Get yourself registered for a fairfx.com card..... reasons why:

* excellent exchange rate... better than any banks/high street etc...
* Doesnt charge you for paying over the counter, no matter what currency its it
* Dont pay sh1t ryanair payment fees - the only option for free payment (Mastercard Prepaid Card)

If you do wanna take cash out the bankomat, its only €1.50 for up to €1000 withdrawal...

I could go on and on about just how good this card is when travelling regularly.....

I changed money in the post office the other day, 195 euro for £184.

Probably should have looked into it more, come to think of it!

Just got back from Austria and it's working out at 1.08euro's to the £ so if you work it out as 1:1 you wont be far out. Paid 3.60euro's for a beer and 5.60euros for a coke!!!! So save money by drinking beer.
