A couple weeks back from my first winter holiday and I'm already suffering snow withdrawal - I think I'm hooked!
I'm thinking about going to Chill Factore tonight for the 7-11 for £35 offer.
Anyone else heading to there tonight? Would be nice to say hi to some fellow SCUKers.
Also thinking about booking one of the Subvert Academy sessions - anyone done one of these? |

| Hiya.. me and my OH will be there tonight from about 7is. Not sure if we'll do the all nighter. I'll have pink pants on say hi if you see me. Ive not done the Subvert but theres a facebook group or SCUK members. Mayhem Massive and many of them have done these sessions and loved them. Rach. |

Yeah I've done it once. It was about 9 months ago and was mega busy so it would be busier round about this time of year I would of though. It was also noisy a large group of use and we couldn't really hear what the guy was saying.
Don't get me wrong the guy was spot on, friendly, helpful and encouraging but you just don't get long enough, on each trick or total time there. I hit my first box rail and kicker on that night and I loved it so its great for a taster.
If you do want to get into freestyle hit a maverix, definition or any other day courses. I've done a Maverix and it spot on, you'll find loads of people on here love what the guys do, small groups and the training is first class.
The only problem is the small mindedness of the Chill management. Every other indoor slope in the country lets these guys train their customers, but not Chill so you'll have to travel to another one do one.
I don't think they realise if you get people into something and they enjoy it they will keep paying you so they can do it. Every drug dealer on the planet knows how to use this simple business tool but not the bosses at Chill. Gimps.
Enjoy Chill though its the best indoor snow out there and dispite what I said above, why still I go every week. |

Thanks for the info. Sounds good, I will look into it.

Shame that, as Chill Factore is only 20 mins from my door. Very odd, particularly as I asked about why the Subvert sessions weren't discounted for CFe members - they said because it was outside coaching. So maybe if enough people commented to CFe they would allow similar courses run by others. |

Yeah, I've had a moan on here before about it, and there are quite a few people who agree. J who runs http://maverix.org/ saw a thread I started about this last year and contacted Chill again and they said they were happy with the freestyle coaching they were offering already.
Disappointing, but I'm happy to take my money elsewhere every now and again. |
