Anyone ridden them? I can get a hold of a set dead cheap... but not cheap enough to buy them if they are gash?
I rode with an American who had them and he said they were crap but that was one persons opinion...
So, any opinions? |

Im also riding this years contrbands im enjoying them so far just did a week in the three valleys with them.
Took a bit to get used to them i overtightened them a couple of times which resulted in some slight pin in my big toes however now i know not to do that they seem fine.
Dont know wether this is purely because ive got size 12 boots or wether i didnt have it tight enough at the time the boot has slipped and got caught on the little bar that holds the front right or left edge into the binding. (bit hard to explain) but this has only happened when doing Presses which require lifting of the foot.
Now ive ridden them for a couple of weeks and got used to them they seem great really comfy im loving the wedgie foot beds. nice and quick to get into.
You got any specific questions if your near chill factore more than wellcome to try them |

| ahh I can totally see wheres he coming from you dont get the same feeling as you do with two straps. I think because you dont have a band of pressure across the toe binding it feels less secure. Its more like the front of your foot is being held to the binding with very little pressure i guess. |

I ride contrabands as well - they let me peak at 3rd behind Pocket and Nick near the start of the dash before my lack of experience saw me fall back through the pack
First pair of bindings I've owned myself so not much comparison to go by. I've haven't ever felt insecure while riding them, even when I rode them mega-lose on occasion by accident. In my opinion your toes are completely locked down, so don't think they will feel lose, it is quite possible to cut the blood supply off to your big toe if you fancy it.
I have crap circulation in my toes, I bought these bindings in part to get any pressure off my smaller toes, and in that regard they have certainly worked.
Biggest downsides I've found is how familiar you get with the screws that adjust and hold the binding together. Just ask Lewis/Sidget/etc about how many times I had the screwdriver out to tighten the things up (just the screws, the ratchet holding the strap on is fine). They have to be set up perfectly to your foot otherwise they just don't work - there is a 7 minute video from Ride to tell you how to do it properly. And heaven forbid if you want to let your mates use them... |

| Thanks all... it's 2011s stuff so I won't be getting them until August time anyway... I'll definitely get a pari just so I have more than one set of bindings... and they should be good for lapping the park. |

In the end I took the contras, and they were pretty much spot on. |
