Hi everyone,
Couldn't see anywhere to properly introduce myself but I'm James, fairly new to snowboarding and just got back from my first boarding holiday in Andorra.
I'd say it's fair to say I've caught the bug and now looking at buying my first board.
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advise? I've been doing some research and I reckon as I think ive picked it up quite well and hopefully will be spending as much time as i can learning to jump etc down at hemel hempstead snow centre on fridays, that i should get something with a zero or jib rocker? but also something thats forgiving for a new rider. what i have got my eye on at the moment are the ride machete, salomon drift or k2 parkstar...
any advise would be much appreciated
Cheers
James |

Heard good stuff about the machette and the parkstar but as im guessing you havent ridden a rockered board before so i would get yourself down to the nearest dome and demo them as they do have a slightly different ride and feel to a standard camber board.
People on here will recommend the board they own mostly or to demo I think snow and rock do it for free or you get a discount on the board if you buy from them
If you havent already get a SCUK membership some good discounts i got 100 quid of my new board this season |

OK cool, ill get myself down to hemel when i get paid and see if i can test some out.
Although will i really feel the difference being a new rider?
oh and I can't find any machete's for sale anywhere online, can anyone recommend a shop that may sell them? |

I would have thought you would notice it a bit becase its less catchy on the edges but each riders different.
I think the machete was really popular this year so you might have to do quite a bit of digging you could also look at the DH2 its fairly simmilar to the machete its got the same low rize rocker |

There practiclly all the same just different names from different companies. They might vary in length of rocker or angles.
I got the DH2 for 260 got 30 quid of with SCUK and 60 quid of in a sale |
