i'm sorry but i have to have this dicussion because i want to know peoples opinions on the topic. which one do you think is better. personally freeride because i can't stand any of this fancy ballet style boarding known as "freestyle" but i do think the people who are good at it are amazing still. if you get my drift. Cheers Tom

I find there are plenty of people who rave about freestyle who have never actually done any freeriding..

And how many of the top pros say they would rather be carving down a mountain than doing rails in a car park...

I think freestyle is cool but doesnt compare to the buzz of flying down a mountain...

though my freestyle is limited...

No, the only reason people freeride is because they cant freestyle.

Dont deny it because its true.

agreed matt.
if freestyle is so bad then why does it account for the vast majority of snowboarding?

freeride. (carpe diem) live for the day enjoy the moment is what freeride is all about. you cant beat that feeling of the steep and deep 3 ft fresh pow.explore the whole mountain every part of it. you just cant beat that feeling. no f***ing skiers or jibbing boarders no queues just pure off piste.so to all the jibbers your missing out on what snowboarding is all about risking your life to the big white train..... enjoy

are you trying to say only boarders do this, skiers were doing this before you were born, and why does it have to be freeride v freestyle, surely it's all the same thing, boarding
