Hey all,
i am going on a trip next sunday to jay peak, vermont.
just been told by american airlines that i cant take my 175cm snowboard all-in-one bag or get a $300 round trip fee.
my mate says he doesnt want to share a 155 bag (that is not 'oversized' but will get the $50 '2nd bag' fee) because there is a risk that if they check the bag we will have to take one out.
the alternative is that i take my own (151cm) board on as a 2nd bag, get a $100 round trip fee and have a suitcase for my other clothing.
Does anyone have a padded bag that is less than 157cm long that i could either buy, or borrow and send back after the trip (i will pay to rent) OR an alternative plan that will work that you may of had from experience.
please help as the clock is ticking.
