Just checked the piste map. Seems like there would be two routes down from there, either a blue piste or a black dotted line called Oeillet. Presumably thats a controlled off-piste run.
Dont expect that to be a difficult choice for me unless I improve an awful lot during the week.

| For those that know the top of the lift, I expect we'll direct you to the right of the "snowy knoll" infront of the lift, so it will be one of two routes down blue runs. Not sure on the finishing line as it may depend on whether we inform the resort as the bottom of the Palafour is a funnel and if there's punters around it might be a little too dangerous. We might even have the finish at the Loop bar, but that would mean a 200m run to the finish. We'll see. |

Sounds like a laugh!!
Not sure how you get from palafour to loop bar though, that sounds like a long jog, unless I have my geography wrong! |

It would just be a run down the road where they normally hold the market. Not ideal and I think we'll probably end it just above the bottom of the run.
It's all about the giving it a go |

Insurance is an issue as normal insurance doesn't cover you for competition. This isn't a competition though, but just a few mates having a friendly race to the bottom of the slope on the last day. Okay, we're on dodgy ground there, so just don't hurt yourselves.
We will have disclaimers of course and everybody must sign that to er... not compete. |

Feel free, Dastardly never won a race.
(Though he could have but he hadn't cheated that race and didn't want to win without cheating perversely....I may know too much about that!) |

| As we'll be racing down a public piste and past a restaurant, I think we'll need a few marshalls/judges. The aim would be for these to be equipped with some video cameras so we can record the mayhem for posterity. If you're undecided whether you're going to bring a camcorder or headcam, then perhaps this will change your mind. |

| It's a shame that there's not an easier run down from Toviere because you'd end up right outside the Loop... |
