EDIT, i would just like to clarify that since writing this fairly damning review (and one on trip advisors that was even harsher) they have since recognised the problem and have apologiesed to me. I am happy with that as the result.

I will leave the review so the thread has some context remaining however i would like to stress that the issue HAS been resolved and the following review was written by someone in a very angry place Wink END EDIT

http://www.penhab.com/pension-penhab

At the time of writing I am sat in my room in the pension, ironically using their own wifi connection to write this review.

Unfortunately it's not positive

CUSTOMER SERVICE

The owners of this chalet are incredibly snide,
they are very unclear about what is included in the price of the room and it has become apparent that the reason for this is
so that they can descretely add things to your rooms tab without telling you.

I understand the concept of an honesty bar and i'm happy to pay for a service or product that i have recieved but i like to be informed of what is costing me what.

An example of this is them bringing coffee round at the end of the meal. Coffee provided as part of a half board meal should in my opinion be included in the price

If thats not the case then fine, but you need to inform people of this rather than bringing coffees out and then sneaking off to add them to the tab.

This was also inconsistant as some people were charged for coffees and some people who had coffee were not.

When i asked matt (chalet owner) about the coffees being added to my tab, he became very aggressive when challenged.

Bottom line is that i would not come back to this chalet, this chalet is not cheap (infact they have just posted next years prices and a week ranges from 400 - 575 for a week depending on when you go)

For this sort of cash you can defo get a much better deal in a nicer pension with far better customer service

I feel i should clarify a couple of points that i've made above mid rant:

the only reason i was so annoyed was because on sunday i said "can i pay my tab from the previous night please", it was 6 euro due to 2 beers.

Then i checked each day and nothing had been added untill yesterday when they added 3 coffees. had i been charged for the coffee i had saturday on sunday when i said i wanted to settle up i would have seen that the coffee wasn't included and wouldn't have accepted any further coffees

Since then they have continued to live up to their lacking customer service skills by writing me sarcastics notes suggesting that i am cheap and an idiot!

I think Nick meant maybe bad customer service was a result of your review on here, though as I read it this had all happened before you even posted on here. I can see why you're annoyed, it's a pet peeve of mine when things aren't explained properly and a bill just appears later on out of no where and it's never nice when someone cops an attitude with their customers.

At least the wifi was free? (Bet you'll get a bill for that now too Very Happy)

i'm trying to prove the old saying "you have a good experience you tell one person but if you have a bad experience you tell ten".

I understand that it's taking it to the extreme but isn't public slating what the internet was made for???

No matter what happens, staff / owners should never do such a thing to their own paying guests....Very surprising.

Problems like this, i.e. cost of drinks, what's included etc are so easily avoided.
