Post subject: Accomodation in Tignes over Xmas...?  PostPosted: Aug 03, 2010 - 09:58 PM

There is a group of us heading out to Tignes this xmas, but we don't want to go for the normal transfer days of Sun-Sun, because of when xmas day falls. Does anyone know of some good cheap accomodation that we can stay in with maybe Weds to Weds transfers or even just a long weekend? I've found a couple on Tignes.co.uk, but didn't know if anyone had any contacts of any private flats etc...?

Hey, yep they are basically the three criteria.

At the moment there is 6 of us, but could be 4 or 8 (loads aren't committing until they know the actually price which is really usefull!!)

Cheers

I hate to be the bringer of doom and negativity but i think you'l be very lucky to find somewhere expensive that will book you anything but saturday to saturday over xmas, let alone somewhere cheap. Then again maybe with the drop in visitors you might get lucky and find somewhere quiet enough to accept odd days.

I know I am asking for the near impossible!! I've found a couple of self catering places that do have availability for Weds to Weds, but figured someone on here might know of some more as I'd prefer to go on a recommendation.

We would normally just go for a the normal transfer days, but cos xmas day is on the Sat this year it makes it a bit sh1t and some of my mates can't take the whole week off before that.

I'm trying to stay optomistic! Smile If all else fails, I did do last season in Tignes so know plenty of floors to kip on so might just take myself there on my own.
