| Still don't know why it's 100ml limit, in hand luggage there are some explosives when 2 liquids mixed together can be highly volatile and only need small amounts. Apart from facecream, toothpaste and maybe a roll-on deodorant does anyone else actually use liquids on a plane cos I don't |

Bottle of vodka goin in my board bag. Probably stash it in my boots and pack it out.
I can get through a bottle a night if I'm pushing it, so just a few nights for me |

That isn't a half bad idea - stashing a bottle or two in your boots
But, i'd be well worried that one of the luggage throwers would smash the bottle and my boots would be completely ruined. That would be something of an arse for a holiday.... |

Dont forget if your flying into Geneva it is tax free, so the airport lounge should be a reasonable price.
Whats the limit for how much you can take though, bearing in mind the flights to Geneva, not the EU ? Anyone know? |

I manage to spend way less than most people and have fun! I don't sponge drinks either unlike others (who shall remain nameless). Charlie's top tips for saving money are:
- Make a sandwich and grab a mars bar/snickers/nuts to take with you on the hill and fill a bottle with water.
- Eat as much as you can at breakfast.
- Never eat in a mountain restaurant.
- Buy alcohol before you get there and drink it in your apartment/lodge and then take a hipflask out with you (though they won't even let you into Jacks with an empty hip flask because aparently you might hit someone on the head with it ).
- Don't buy equipment in resort, you'll pay at least a third more.
- Don't take all your cash with you on a night out, you WILL spend it.
They also steal your empty hip flask when you leave it at the door. Unless like Nick you have the common sense to walk away, hide it in your sock and come back in.
I spent about £350 last yr, but took a bottle of vodka with me and some pasta and bits for the appartment and porridge for the morning.
The Loop do good lunchtime food, a plate of nacho's for 10 euros easy does 2 people lunch
That reminds me, I need a new Hip Flask.
The Bar steward wembley stadium staff stole my empty one off me at a gig last summer. - and it was empty!!!!!! |
