guys
jus go back onto side hits afta takin a big stack on the gas pipe ouch!
any tips to get them consistent as sometimes i dont reach the end of the gas pipe and come off early cos i ollie rite on top instead of locking into the gas pipe(if that makes sense) so instead of hitting it on a slight angle im right on top and it shoots me off early
should i be angling my board for the end of the pipe which im trying to do or should i aim not so much on top but slightly off to the side so i reach the end? at the moment im just aimin to get on top, so any tips of where i should be aiming my board diagrams etc would be handy.
Thanks

Are you talking about just 5050ing this thing? And just wallriding it a bit by 'side hit' ? Being on top is fine as its where you'll have most balance, you just need to make sure you ollie onto it with very little forward momentum overwise you will just slip off the other side, but it can go the other way too and you can slide off the same side you're trying to get on with not ENOUGH momentum.
Did you ever skate? Its like learning to ollie onto a flatrail |

Ive only been doing side-hits in the last 3/4months and i've found that as with any type of rail including ride-on's........making sure you look at the end of the rail is the main key. It will help you lock on , especially coming in from an angle on a side hit.
I find I slip off the rail or pipe when trying a frontside boardslide, but that more due to my weight distribution over my front leg and committing to it more. |

i.e. not straight on to the rail.
Thursdays at Hemel are good, but quite a simple park. They're not very big on side hits either, but then again, neither am I. |

| whats weird bro? it refers to the type of kicker used to get at the rail. ride on.. means just that and side hit is where you have to oliie from one side or t'other... |
