| I just joined SCUK and I'm thinking about coming to the Bash. None of my mates ride and I'm looking for a group to go with. Do you all know each other?! Don't want to be the random girl who doesn't know anyone! How does the room sharing thing work out? Charlie x |

Welcome to SCUK
All are welcome on the bash. Before everyone heads away to it people meet up all at all the snowdomes so you could go along and meet people before the bash.
I'm not sure when you have to book by so you might want to check that out asap. |

Hey, its my first bash and I will only vaguely know people thru the internets.
I just plan on being smashed and letting vodka do the talking for me
Welcome, stick around the forums and you'll get to know people! |

I'm pretty much a newbie to SCUK and snowboarding - i'm still finding my feet on the board; and i'm going along!
I've met a few people from the SCUK at the Snowdome (although i'm not sure if they are going to the bash) so i'll be one of the billy no mates there too!
Where in the UK are you from Charlie? Maybe there's a few people near you that you can get to know before you go
Welcome to SCUK
Darren. |

Cool I think you've all pretty much convinced me. It's a week of snowboarding so nothing can really go wrong?! I live in London - anyone else from London drop me a line and maybe we can have some drinks in preparation... |

I'm sort of in the same boat, I can't snowboard that well, only started this year, unfortunately I can't make it this year, but damn sure I'm saving up the pennies to come to next years, at which point i'll only have done 3 weeks riding on snow and maybe a bit on snowflex on mount plym (my debut appearance this coming tuesday!).
Not really worried about it though, the SCUK crowd seem like a great bunch (a great bunch of what I'll let you decide!! )!. |

This thread has given me renewed confidence!!
I am the same as most on here, I am new to riding, do not have mates who are into it and booked this trip, as it came highly recommended by people for solo travellers.
Everyone involved seems friendly... great resort... good price...
I think its gonna be a good one!
A week of snowboarding. Yes Please.
PS anyone who goes to Cfe, who is going, drop me a line and maybe we can hook.
See you there Charlie and everyone else!! |

Can i be the first to point out the obvious, your a girl...and you snowboard...of course youre welcome on the bash haha
If youre in London a good place to meet others who will be on the bash is Hemel, quite a few people ride there every week so im sure some of them will be going.
Get yourself a ticket to the Freeze next weekend and you'l meet plenty of people, myself and Dunx will be maning the SCUK stand all weekend which is a good place to start for SCUKERS to meet up! |
