lol thought I may aswell copy and paste for everyone!
Nightmare yesterday though!!! Mountain Rescue job, otherhalf was on a private group lesson of 4 ppl and coming down the end of blue 5 I think it was where it joins to another run, a bulgarian boarder came flying down a red out of control and instead of turning just leant back so the nose of his board came up and he lost control.
Went crashing straight into my otherhalf, I was on another slope but apparently she rolled 3 times and somehow her foot came out of her snowboard boot.... it was just left in the binding. Really weird as her boot was done up very tightly aswell.
Instructor called mountain rescue and for some reason the rest of the group let the bloke who caused the accident go........ I got there a few minutes later and was far from happy that they hadnt kept hold of him
Mountain rescue got her on a skidoo and took her to the gondola where I then went down to the medical centre with her, 2 quick x-rays confirmed no breaks and just a sprained ankle.
Rang my insurance – Lloyds bank who do it through Axa, they were helpful and it meant I just had to pay the excess on the policy of £40 to the Bulgarian medical centre.
Just aswell we had insurance as the skidoo ride alone would have cost £200 nevermind the rest,
She’s had a rest today and stuck with R.I.C.E. now has a nice bruise in a weird line on the side of her foot. |
